Carla Alves da Silva has a degree in psychology and is a qualified psychotherapist. She has also trained in body psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, primal & family therapy, sex & relationships therapy, Transactional Analysis and is an NLP Master Practitioner.
She trained with the National College of Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy who are UKCP registered, The Berne Institute and also in Sweden and Denmark. She is a Member of the British Psychological Society and the National Register of Psychotherapists & Hypnotherapists.
Carla is passionate about personal development and how life’s experiences influence our behaviours. She is particularly interested on how people relate with loved ones, family and friends and how the stress of 21st century living impacts on our lives. She has developed a unique assessment process which unveils the hidden subconscious issues in a very short time thus clearing the way to a more effective therapeutic procedure.
She has appeared on a number of TV programmes including an episode of 'Art & Soul', on the use of hypno-pictography and 'The Look of Lurve' for ITV in October 2003. She has recently been interviewed on BBC Radio Kent and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Radio. She is a competent public speaker and gives inspirational motivational talks to anyone interested in listening.
She has written a book about conflicts in relationships and how to develop healthy ways of relating with loved ones. She's currently writing a self-development book for women. Other writing projects include sex and intimacy, and the impact of early relationships with our parents. She wants to reach out to people through her therapeutic work, writing, training programmes, seminars and workshops worldwide.
